Billy Joe Saunders Guest in Episode 2 of ‘Kalle’s WBSS Hangouts’ Podcast

25th, September 2020

31-year-old Saunders has held world championships in two weight classes, including the WBO super-middleweight title since 2019, and previously the WBO middleweight title from 2015 to 2018.

In the podcast, Saunders talks Traveller community culture, Canelo, Callum Smith, Tyson Fury, a generation lost, and much more in a brutally honest chat with Kalle Sauerland, Chief Boxing Officer of the WBSS.

Fighting is firmly in Saunders’ DNA as his great-grandfather Absolom Beeney was a famous bare-knuckle prizefighter, and he is the first boxer from the Travelling community to become a two-weight world champion.

“Fighting is what we are bred to do,” says Saunders about his upbringing.
